Dear friend of Gospel 90.3,
As I write this letter, we at Gospel 90.3 are in the midst of our annual “Mother’s Day Giveaway.” We have given away some great prizes thus far, and are looking forward to rewarding the remainder of the prizes. I would like to thank everyone who participated, and encourage you to mark your calendars for the “Father’s Day Giveaway,” scheduled for June 11-15.
No doubt many of you have already heard that Dr. Gary Herring, host of “The Bible Stands,” went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 29, after a long battle with cancer. Dr. Herring served on the pastoral staff at Landmark Baptist Church and was a professor at Landmark Baptist College. He was a faithful servant of the Lord, a godly example, and a dear friend to all of us at Gospel 90.3. He will be greatly missed. Although we grieve his passing, we rejoice to know that we will see him again in the sweet bye and bye. His godly influence and legacy live on as we continue to broadcast his program, “The Bible Stands,” each Saturday at 8 PM.
One of the things that make this ministry special is the staff that I have the privilege to work along side of here at Gospel 90.3. For over eight years Lori Hart has served as the station secretary. She has overseen countless mail-outs, added thousands of pieces of information into our computer system, and answered innumerable phone calls. She has done all of this with a smile and a sweet spirit. In the process, she has become a friend to many of our listeners who call and visit the station. Sadly, I must report that as of May 14, Lori will no longer be working at Gospel 90.3. For some time, Kevin (her husband) has been working in the Fort Myers area, and the time has come for the entire family to relocate. We will miss Lori and her family, and we ask you to remember them in your prayers as they begin this new chapter in their lives.
In Christ,
Lewis Cruz
